Film: In Time

A lower budget film with a bad ass science fiction plot. The concept for this film is original and Justin Timberlake pulls off the part very well. My advice: don't waste anytime, go out a rent this. You should enjoy it.

Film: The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel

Don't you just love this cover! Not a bad film by any means of the imagination. Acting is well done and the story is not predictable. I would consider it a drama with a lot of comedy relief. Watching it makes me want to eat some Indian food, oh and watch Slum Dog Millionaire - as the boy is in this too (Dev Patel).

Film: Cyrus

Not a bad film. Didn't have high expectations, but it was good. I would say a mixture between a comedy and drama. Takes some unexpected turns.

Film: Haywire

A good mystery action flick. Interesting thing about this film is that it contains a lot of background music during the action scenes - I believe it was from an orchestra (don't recall). Gina Carano looks like a natural. Her MMA experience  and her good looks with her short hair keep things entertaining.

Film: End of Watch

Our sites were set low after first being exposed to Deadfall, which may have improved this movie. However, I think we would have enjoyed this regardless. A fast moving plot, with enough action, and good acting. I would advise others to rent this one.

Film: Deadfall

I wanted to like this film, I really did. Eric Bana is a solid actor and one of those who I look highly upon. However, this movie feel way short. After about an hour, we turned it off. I have a feeling that the ending may have gotten better, but the lines and acting in the first hour were, how do you say it? Bad.

Movie: Olympus has Fallen

We saw this at the movie theater. This movie was good, I would surely advise people to go or rent when it is released. Very well done, the White House looks very real, same with the aerial views. I was left thinking if I needed a body guard, Mr. Butler would be my first choice! Good because it was not completely predictable and had some comic relief. Good flick!

Film: Seven Psychopaths

This movie started well and finished well...poorly. We liked the choice of characters, but during the later part of the movie the plot changed and it became very boring - going into the desert to talk... I have no idea how it ended, but the ending could not make up for the trance the middle of the movie put us in.

Film: Liberal Arts

ZZZZZZZzzzzzzzz.............. Seriously, only bright spot in this movie was Zac Efron's brief appearance. Later in the movie, he may have had an extended appearance, but I will never know as we turned off the film.

Film: The Bourne Legacy

For being the fourth "Bourne," this is actually much better than you would expect. I was under the impression that there was only one Jason Bourne, and Jeremy Renner would play him in this film. Is this movie better than the others, it's hard to say as I never thought the others were as good as everyone else claimed. Some parts in the movie are slow, but overall it is a fine film to watch.

Film: The Game

I cannot believe I waited 16 years to finally see this movie. However, I am glad I waited so long, it's a nice reminder of the 90's. The movie is great, some creepy parts, but the movie will keep you guessing. I would compare it to the Sixth Sense in that aspects will be illuminated upon reflection or the second viewing. My wife bought this and I am happy, as sometime in the future I may watch this again!

Film: Rise of the Guardians

If you're older than 11 years of age and have an IQ of greater than 70, this movie is not for you. Lowbrow humor, weird characters who look nothing like the conceptualized version of things that don't exist, and ..... Well, I don't know, as I fell asleep on purpose half way through this film. Take home message, don't let the names fool you, this is something to avoid.

Film: bachelorette

It looks like a comedy from the poster right? This movie is anything from that. Well, as long as you have some compassion. The compassion will decrease the movie's funniness because those three women who are standing are mean. The movie will keep your dumb boyfriend's attention as there are a lot of various scenes with naked women. Again, if you are more than just a dumb boyfriend, you will be left disappointed.

Movie: The Croods

If you can withstand the first 8 minutes, you will experience a solid film. The manner in which they filmed the Croods...drew the Croods and their actions, this made me very queasy. I dislike quick panning and extreme closeups - let the plot shine.

This movie was seen at a theater. Thus, that could have added to my appreciation. Would I buy it, no. Would I suggest it to someone, maybe. Kids will enjoy and parents will get a kick out of it.

Film: Red Dawn

For a remake, the movie was pretty bad ass. Definitely some parts where the viewer is sit wondering how were the Wolverines able to get themselves into such a situation and out of the situation without being seen. You cannot the cast from the original, but these characters do a great job. I appreciate the fact that there is a more diverse set of Wolverines (the promo poster doesn't show that). Overall, check out the movie. You won't be disappointed, unless you're North Korean.

Film: Taken 2

I have to say, this sequel was pretty good. It's obviously similar to the plot in from the first Taken, but it's different enough to keep the viewer interested. If you were going to watch both of these, watch Taken first, then this one. Enjoy!
