Film: The Way Back

A solid film of an extraordinary journey. This shares many similarities with Cool Hand Luke and The Great Escape. This film is packed with good actors, and I would suggest watching it.

Wow, this film surprised me. It was much better than I was expecting. I am left wondering why I didn't see this when I was growing up. This has many hints that Santa does not exist and a lot of sexual references, so keep that in mind. If you are looking for a 1990's adventure, rent it!

Film: The Holiday

I have one word for you: predictable. Was this film predictable, more than likely it was. Why don't I know, because we turned it off about 1/3 of the way through. Sorry Cameron, even the other stars could save it. Add it to your X-Mas Watch List, just don't invite me over.

Film: The Family Stone

Again, this can be added to you Holiday Watch List, but there are many that are better. I did like the actors, except Sara Jessica Parker. However, she did a fine job in this one. Watch it, you may like it.

Film: The Ice Harvest

A decent movie to add to the Holiday movie viewing list. A bit long, but it has a creative plot and story line. Would I watch it again, maybe.

Film: The Promised Land

Nice work Matt Damon. Great movie and an even better message.

Film: The Kingdom

Nice combination of mystery and action. Sure to capture everyone's attention. Jamie Foxx has a solid performance protecting America, no wonder he later became The President.

Film: Gangster Squad

I am not 15 anymore, so blood and guts on the big screen do nothing for me. Therefore, I rejoiced that the rest of the movie did not progress like the opening scene. It wasn't that gross, I just thought it may lay the groundwork for a nasty film. The acting was superb, and I was surely advise you to watch it.

Film: Deception

An unexpected hit in my books. If you like The Game and The Prestige, then this is a good choice to rent.

Film: The Aviator

Leonardo DiCaprio delivers the cargo in this one. Great film and a nice portrait into the life of Howard Hughes. The level to which Mr. Hughes had OCD is remarkable. Great film.

Film: The Truman Show

If you haven't seen this, then have you been living underneath a rock? No hard feelings, I just saw it for the first time the other week and boy is it a spectacular film. Jim Carrey and company knock it out of the park! On a side note, since its release apparently there is a specific type of delusion that individuals may acquire based on this films premise... Go and rent or re-rent this film as it will leave you with a smile on your face.

Film: The Internship

Who doesn't enjoy Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson together? As I recall, there were some pretty dorky aspects to this film, so it's perfect if you dig that stuff. Go ahead and google it!

Film: The Heat

A classic example of low expectations which turn out to be incredibly wrong. I always find Ms. McCarthy to be a tad abrasive, and she doesn't fail to deliver. However, she is a good actress and she complimented Ms. Bullock quite nicely. It's fun, watch it!

Film: Now You See Me

I wasn't expecting much, but I was delivered a solid film. Acting is spot on and it's a film that takes many twists and turns. Check it out!

Film: The Bling Ring

We like films that are based off real life events. The truth behind a film makes the story believable which is an important factor. The Bling Ring definitely delivers in the truth portion. Regardless, this is a pretty good film. Maybe more for younger folk, but enjoyable.

Film: White House Down

Fun film that goes by quickly. Maybe a touch non-believable, but overall very entertaining. Foxx and Tatum go very well together, like black and white. If you want to watch something, choose this, it's fun.
